Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Licensed BCBA, Special Education Teacher (Tier 3 or 4 required), or School Social Worker Experience with behavior intervention, functional behavior assessments, and positive behavior supports Demonstrated ability to consult, communicate, and collaborate with educational teams Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention certifications (preferred) Strong adaptability, calm demeanor in crisis, and data-driven approach RBTs are not eligible for this role
Key Responsibilities:
Consult on and implement individualized positive behavior interventions and supports Conduct functional behavior assessments to inform student plans Reinforce positive behaviors, apply de-escalation strategies, and redirect inappropriate actions Support development and application of individualized education plans (IEPs) in line with district, state, and federal standards Provide ongoing training to staff regarding behavioral supports and recommendations Ensure safety and compliance with district policies and handbooks Utilize data to inform planning and interventions for student success Travel between 2-3 assigned school sites (locations based on district consideration) Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education Enjoy the fulfillment of shaping student success while collaborating with an experienced district team.
