Job Description

This contract opportunity offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact as a Registered Behavior Technician working in a school environment near Mebane, NC. You'll provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student with significant behavioral needs, making behavior management expertise and resilience essential. The position runs from as soon as possible through June 10, 2027, aligning with the school year schedule. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 3:45 pm (37.5 hours weekly; 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience managing challenging and aggressive behaviors in school-aged students Confidence in implementing behavior intervention plans and managing crisis situations Professionalism and emotional stability to maintain a supportive, structured learning environment Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families Candidates comfortable providing unwavering support to a student requiring intensive behavioral assistance Preference for male applicants due to the needs of the caseload
Responsibilities:
Deliver consistent 1:1 behavioral support and intervention throughout the school day Apply behavior management strategies tailored to students individualized education plan (IEP) Document behavior data and progress accurately daily Collaborate with the supervising BCBA, teachers, and the students classroom team Model de-escalation and positive behavior supports Remain composed and solution-oriented during behavioral escalations This is an excellent opportunity to build specialized experience in an educational setting while supporting a students growth and development.
