Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT implements individualized treatment plans designed to improve communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills while promoting client independence and quality of life. Job Duties for the Behavior Technician include but are not limited to:

• Attend training sessions and certification processes in obtaining a Registered Behavior Technician license, SafetyCare specialist license, and First Aid/CPR certification license in addition to any other processes related to the position.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
• Provide direct ABA therapy in clinic, home, community and school settings.
• Collect accurate and objective data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions.
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and therapeutic environment for clients.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, supervisors, and other team members regarding client progress and treatment recommendations.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training activities.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with caregivers regarding daily session activities, as appropriate.

Behavior Technician:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to run, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift, carry, or assist with up to 50 pounds when necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color. Work Environment the Behavior Technician will work in: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, human bites or scratches, and maladaptive or aggressive behaviors. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Valid driver's license and willingness to transport clients Proof of Vehicle insurance Authorization to work in the United States Successful completion of all state-required background checks.

• Ability to work effectively with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written treatment plans and receive feedback from supervisors.
