Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is open for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to make a lasting difference in a school-based setting near Papillion, NE. This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal or a permanent role. The position supports students in grades 6-12 who require behavioral interventions that surpass district resources but do not qualify for clinical care. The unique environment operates in partnership with the district and emphasizes collaborative, continuum-based care—not isolation.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Current BCBA certification required (not RBT-eligible for unrestricted hours). Experience working with adolescents or young adults with significant behavioral needs. Demonstrated skill with functional behavior assessments and designing crisis intervention plans. Leadership abilities to support and coach teams of RBTs, paras, aides, and teachers. Comfort navigating challenging environments—including aggressive behaviors, eloping, and incidents of severe disruption. Knowledge of individualized positive behavior support planning. Strong communication skills to provide effective training, consultation, and leadership.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct behavioral assessments and develop tailored intervention and crisis plans. Lead and mentor a large team—including RBTs, paraprofessionals, and teachers. Provide hands-on training for staff working with older students exhibiting extreme behaviors. Support functional understanding of challenging behaviors to promote safety and learning. Coordinate with district and cooperative partners to implement a cohesive approach. Focus on behavioral supports while academic instruction is managed by other specialists. If you are passionate about impacting students' lives through applied behavior analysis and thrive in dynamic, team-oriented settings, we encourage you to apply today. Bring your expertise to a collaborative environment and help shape supportive pathways for students and staff alike! Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
