Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Requires 48 college credits or DOE certification (Paraeducator II)

Has met all requirements outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and holds a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the BACB.

Previous experience working with children or individuals with behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational setting.

Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, parents, and external professionals.

Current certificate in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training or equivalent training or willingness to obtain through the District.

Responsibilities of the

Position:

Collaborate with the BCBA, teachers, and other school staff to assess and analyze the behavior of students with identified challenges.

Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA to address specific skill acquisition and behavioral goals and objectives.

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing positive behaviors and teaching alternative, appropriate behaviors.

Specified Length/Hours of Position:

This is an affiliated (AFSCME) position under the Para-Educators negotiated contract, following the school calendar, with six (6) to eight (8) hours per day, 30-40 hours per week.

Starting Salary:

$31.83 per hour
