Description Position Summary:

As a Behavioral Technician, you are expected to provide high-quality, compassionate care to clients with developmental disabilities, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will work under the supervision of a Behavioral Analyst or Clinical Supervisor to implement individualized behavioral intervention programs. Your role involves direct client interaction, data collection, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

Implementation of Behavioral Plans:

Implement individualized behavior support plans as directed by the Behavioral Analyst. Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings, including clinics, schools, and homes.

Data Collection and Reporting:

Collect accurate and detailed data on client progress and behaviors during sessions.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with all stakeholders (e.g., clients, families, and team members) to provide updates and feedback on client progress. Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices in behavioral therapy.

Ethical and Professional Conduct:

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients and their families. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions.

Personal and Professional Development:

Obtain and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 6 months of hire. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and training.

Physical Demands:

Be prepared to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and restraining clients when necessary. Be able to lift up to 50lbs. Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or ASD is preferred. Strong observational and data collection skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals improve their quality of life. Salary $20 - $30 per hour
