Job Description

Advance To Thrive is looking for a reliable and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our growing team! The Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral support to children and individuals with developmental, behavioral, or learning challenges. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Technician implements individualized treatment plans, collects data, teaches functional and adaptive skills, and supports positive behavior change. This position is available in Middlesex, Mercer, and Monmouth counties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one behavioral therapy based on individualized treatment plans. Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions under BCBA supervision. Teach communication, social, academic, daily living, and coping skills. Follow behavior intervention and skill-acquisition programs accurately. Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors. Assist with reducing challenging behaviors using approved intervention strategies. Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment. Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and clinical staff. Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings. Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation. Follow company policies, ethical guidelines, and client-care procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree may be preferred depending on the employer. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, reliability, and ability to work as part of a clinical team. Ability to follow detailed treatment protocols and collect accurate data. Must be willing to complete required training. Must be able to successfully complete required background checks and fingerprinting. The BCBA will primarily work in clients' homes and may occasionally provide services or attend meetings in school or community settings.
