Job Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a vibrant school setting located in Morristown, NJ. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), by implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions.     • afternoon (12 hours/week) Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support students' social, communication, and daily living skills.
    Assist students with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and other self-care routines, to promote independence. Collect and record precise behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support classroom teachers and special education staff by delivering direct behavioral therapy and behavior management strategies tailored to each student's needs. Collaborate with families and team members to communicate student progress, challenges, and updates on care plans while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and behavioral health records, ensuring compliance with professional and ethical standards. Participate in training sessions on implementing ABA therapy protocols, medical terminology, and ethical guidelines such as the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods. Experience working within special education settings or school environments is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and deliver patient-centered care in a compassionate manner. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain RBT certification is required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
