Our Advanced Behavior Technicians receive ongoing support and supervision from our clinical team while working with clients in a variety of home and community environments. Position Overview We are seeking an Advanced Behavior Technician (ABT) with at least 1 year of hands-on ABA experience to provide individualized therapy to clients in their homes and community settings. The ideal candidate has previous experience working as a Behavior Technician/RBT, is comfortable providing services in a home-based setting, and has experience implementing behavior plans with clients who may engage in aggression, self-injurious behavior (SIB), and other challenging behaviors . This position is ideal for a dependable, compassionate, and experienced technician who is confident working independently while collaborating closely with a BCBA and the client's care team. Schedule & Availability Most of our clients receive services after school, typically between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM . Candidates with consistent weekday availability during these hours are strongly encouraged to apply. We offer flexible, part-time schedules, with opportunities for additional hours based on client needs and availability. Job Responsibilities As an Advanced Behavior Technician, you will: Work closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans. Provide 1-on-1 ABA therapy in clients' homes and community settings according to the schedule arranged with the client's family. Implement ABA strategies, interventions, and behavior support procedures as directed by the supervising BCBA. Work with clients who may demonstrate aggression, self-injurious behavior (SIB), elopement, property destruction, and other challenging behaviors . Follow established safety and behavior intervention procedures while maintaining a calm, supportive, and professional demeanor. Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families. Collect accurate and timely data on client performance, behaviors, and progress. Complete session notes and other required documentation accurately and professionally. Communicate important observations, concerns, and client updates to the supervising BCBA and appropriate members of the care team. Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development. Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all applicable professional and ethical standards. Provide compassionate, high-quality care while helping clients develop meaningful skills and increase their independence. Maintain professionalism and reliability while working directly with clients and families in their homes. What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications You have: At least 1 year of hands-on experience working in ABA. Previous experience working as a Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) either with Momentum Behavior Care or another ABA provider. Experience providing ABA services in clients' homes. Experience implementing behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs under BCBA supervision. The ability and willingness to work with clients who exhibit aggression and self-injurious behavior (SIB) . The ability to follow safety procedures and behavior intervention plans consistently. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to communicate effectively in English. The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with clients and families. Patience, compassion, emotional regulation, and a willingness to continue learning. The ability to work independently in a home-based environment while maintaining strong communication with the clinical team. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client homes as required. Preferred Qualifications RBT certification. Experience working with moderate to severe challenging behaviors. Experience implementing behavior reduction programs. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities. Experience with data collection and clinical documentation.
