Job Description

•Looking for an ABA therapist for a 5 year old non-verbal boy diagnosed with Autism in Oceanside, NY. Start date as soon as possible. His main goals are to work on communication, socialization, following directions, academics, and emotional regulation. Please send your resume to lendinghandbehavior@gmail.com Job Overview Lending Hand Behavior (LHB) is a behavior therapy agency based out of Nassau County, NY. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technicians to join our team. LHB works with children, adolescents, and adults in home, school, and community-based settings. We are looking for therapists who have experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) who work with individuals one to one to increase skills and decrease interfering behaviors. Group therapy will be needed at times to increase social skills and generalize behaviors learned. We offer opportunities for BCBA supervision and ongoing training, as well as support for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTS). Duties Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by a qualified supervisor. Collect and document data on client progress and behaviors accurately and consistently. Assist clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills. Assist clients and families in decreasing interfering behaviors using specific ABA techniques. Provide support during therapeutic sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and families, to promote client well-being. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality and medical documentation. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health.
Requirements Required Degrees/Certifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, education, etc.) is preferred Willingness to participate in our ABA training course Must be able to commute to Oceanside, NY Client is looking for 15-20 hours a week some time between the hours of 3:30-7:30 pm You can take on the whole caseload or part of it. Skills:
