Behavior Technician

• Home-Based ABA Climbing Star | Rego Park, Queens A steady afternoon schedule and BCBAs who answer the phone. At Climbing Star we bring one-on-one ABA therapy into the homes of children and young adults with autism. This case is a teenager, and the work needs someone patient, consistent, and genuinely comfortable with adolescents
• not everyone is, and that is worth being honest about.

THE SCHEDULE

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Nine hours a week, the same days every week, in the client's home in Rego Park. A consistent block like this suits someone who already has daytime work and wants regular after-school hours rather than a schedule that shifts week to week.

WHAT YOUR DAYS LOOK LIKE

One-on-one sessions in the client's home. You will follow a treatment plan written by a BCBA, keep simple data along the way, and build a real working relationship with a teenager and their family. At this age progress often looks like independence

• daily living skills, communication, managing transitions.

Pay:

$25 to $30 per hour, based on experience

Hours:

9 per week, Monday / Wednesday / Thursday afternoons

Location:

Rego Park, Queens, in the client's home

WHAT WE ARE HOPING TO FIND

Not a perfect resume. Someone steady, warm, and reliable, who is comfortable with an older client.

• 1+ year of hands-on ABA experience with children or young adults with ASD (required)
• Experience with adolescents or older clients strongly preferred
• Reliable and communicative, because the family plans their week around these three afternoons
• Comfortable taking clinical direction from a BCBA and working alongside a parent who is present
• RBT certification is a plus, and if you do not have it yet, let's talk
• Familiarity with CentralReach is helpful but not required
