Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred.

Wildwood Who We Are Looking For:
A Behavior Specialist, who embraces our mission of "strengthening the well-being of people with disabilities and their families through innovative supports." The Successful candidate will enjoy working in a special education school environment, where passion and creativity rule to provide children with disabilities, like autism, a robust learning experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Acts as a primary resource to staff in understanding disabilities and positive behavioral support. In collaboration with classroom teams, performs direct observation of students for behavioral assessments and development, conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior intervention plans, including the use of PFA/SBT procedures Supervises and evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of behavioral intervention using treatment fidelity measures. Participates in annual reviews and meetings on student's progress. Designs, modifies, and implements behavioral support plans in conjunction with the treatment team and classroom. Graph, analyze, and summarize behavioral data Teaches and coaches staff members on proper implementation of BIP procedures, data collection systems, and up to date ABA clinical practices
Additional Requirements:
A valid New York State Driver's License and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required. Must have daily access to their own vehicle. Required to complete, pass, and use CALM training, provided by the school, which includes deescalation strategies and approved protective holds and movements for students.
