Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement personalized behavior intervention plans. Your energetic approach will help foster positive growth, skill development, and independence for those you serve. As an RBT, you will play a key part in delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy that transforms lives and promotes meaningful progress. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately and consistently Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, to promote independence Use applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors Support clients during therapy sessions by providing engaging, motivating activities tailored to their needs Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling medical records and client information Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans based on ongoing data collection and client progress Requirements Valid Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Compassionate attitude with a patient-focused approach to care and teaching Must have a minimum of: 40 hours classroom training in ABA techniques and 12 hours of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related fields and is currently enrolled in study leading to an associates or bachelors degree by an accredited college or university; OR 48 hours of college coursework in an accredited college or university; OR high school graduate or GED equivalent and completed 500 hours of employment providing ABA services Join Home Harmony in making a meaningful difference!
