Job Description

Applied Behavioral Connections is currently hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs). We provide compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to children and adolescents who have autism. Our team is looking for experienced, and high energy individuals to help our clients make meaningful progress through ABA. As an RBT/BT, you will provide direct one-on-one ABA sessions to our clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will be responsible for accurate record keeping of case notes, ongoing communication with a supervising BCBA, and direct implementation of treatment goals with clients. ABA sessions will occur in our clinic located in Canton, OH. We are currently hiring for both Full Time. and Part Time positions. Hours may fluctuate based on case load and client schedules. Hours are 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 8:45 - 6:30 Tuesday and Thursday. Responsibilities Provide direct ABA services to clients in individual and group sessions Work with BCBAs to implement individualized goals, programs, and checklists as trained Utilize appropriate, ethical behavioral intervention strategies Collect and submit data, detailed case notes, and time worked using technological programs/software. Communicate respectfully and effectively in both oral and written form with a diverse group of clients, parents/caregivers, school personnel, and other agency staff Maintain respect, well being and confidentiality of all clients Skills and Abilities Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations Respond quickly to emergency situations Work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines Excellent communication Ability and willingness to travel between client locations for appointments as assigned in a punctual manner. Perform well in stressful environments Operate computer, phone and tablet software Physical Requirements Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time. Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior. Education, Experience, Training, Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a highschool diploma or equivalent Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting An associates, bachelor's degree, or two years in education, psychology or related field is preferred RBT certification preferred If not an RBT, willingness to complete the 40-hour RBT training, competency assessment and RBT exam to become an RBT within 2 months of hire. We provide training and hours available prior to completion of training. Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs
