Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting a 9th-grade student as a 1:1 Aide. This dedicated role focuses on providing individualized assistance to a student with autism who relies on the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) for communication. Your expertise can make a significant difference in this student's daily school experience.
Key Qualifications:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) experience, though active or current certification is not required—expired or inactive licenses are accepted. Previous involvement in school settings or with students requiring one-on-one support. Familiarity or training with PECS is highly valued; candidates already proficient in PECS will stand out. Availability for full-time hours, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and readiness to start early each morning. Compassionate approach and genuine interest in supporting students with autism.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a 9th-grade student throughout the school day. Facilitate successful communication using PECS, adapting strategies as needed to help the student access lessons and activities. Collaborate closely with other educational and behavioral staff to maintain consistency and best practices. Assist with transitions, routines, and personal care as appropriate.
