Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting data on client progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to implement behavior intervention plans
  • Conduct data collection to track client progress and make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and other professionals to ensure effective treatment strategies
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Assist in the development of individualized treatment goals and objectives
  • Provide support in educational settings, including special education classrooms
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and social skills development
Requirements:
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction from supervisors
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or related field (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification
