We provide a unique, movement-based environment supporting neurodivergent children through a combination of behavioral therapy and adaptive gymnastics programming. We are specifically hiring team members who are available Monday through Friday between 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM .

Responsibilities:
  • Behavior Technician will assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines
  • Provides specialized behavior analytic interventions to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Spectra's therapy clinic and gym.
  • Demonstrates competency in areas of class & behavior management, safety and child development
  • Use appropriate instructional and teaching strategies to implement age appropriate activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of each individual student
  • Behavior Technician will manage and promote positive child behavior by implementing a variety of teaching strategies to include: preventative, supportive, positive reinforcement and other teaching strategies.
  • Completes necessary documentation including collecting data, treatment notes. Prepares materials and provides child-related communication to caregivers, the program team.
  • Consult with parents regarding student progress, use effective communication skills with parents and students to promote an inclusive culture. (avoid negativity, use student-focused language to avoid labeling a person's medical condition or diagnosis)
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPPA compliance of all member information: verbal, online and on personal electronic devices
  • Adhere to ethics code of BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
  • Attends staff meetings, in-service, trainings, and other meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate ability to safely utilize and teach with all Spectra gym equipment. Qualifications
  • Hard working, passionate, enthusiastic and energetic! Superior customer service skills
  • At least 1 year of either professional or personal experience with children. Preference given to experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and/or other developmental disabilities
  • Demonstrate or quickly acquire competency in approaches to intervention, based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis; competency in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies, including discrete trial and naturalist teaching procedures, differential reinforcement, continuous and discontinuous measurement.
  • Ability to maintain positive customer interaction and professionalism, communicate effectively through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups; demonstrated ability to interact well with children and their families, and to maintain a positive effect.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required OR to complete with Spectra within 10 days of hire
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • Associates Degree OR currently enrolled in an accredited college/university. Preference for degree programs related to psychology, early childhood education, behavior therapy, or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Spectra ABA and/or program requirements.
  • Ability to travel locally; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration Additional Information
