Job Description

Quality Mechanical Test Inspector III Location:
Tigard, Oregon Pay:
Starting at $30+ per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 1st or 2nd shift Overview Join our dynamic team as a Quality Mechanical Test Inspector III and play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and reliability. In this energetic position, you will leverage your mechanical expertise and keen eye for detail to perform rigorous inspections, analyze test data, and uphold compliance with industry standards. Your contributions will directly impact the safety, performance, and excellence of our manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mechanical inspections on complex assemblies and components using precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to verify conformance to specifications. Perform surface mount technology (SMT) inspections to ensure proper placement and soldering quality of electronic components on circuit boards. Apply non-destructive testing methods to evaluate material integrity without damaging parts, adhering to ASME codes & standards. Collect and analyze data from mechanical tests, documenting findings accurately for quality control and assurance purposes. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during assembly, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Review schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation to confirm assembly accuracy and compliance with engineering requirements. Support quality assurance initiatives by participating in audits, maintaining detailed inspection records, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Ability to test and repair systems that include hydraulic, liquid, pneumatic and electronics. Qualifications Proven experience in quality control and inspection within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on mechanical testing. Strong understanding of surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electronic component placement. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to mechanical integrity and non-destructive testing procedures. Proficiency in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices for precise inspections. Solid knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for accurate evaluation. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret test data and identify deviations from specifications. Mechanical aptitude complemented by experience with data collection systems and quality inspection processes.
