Role:
The Behavioral Support Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals by providing tailored behavioral interventions and support. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field. Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges, preferably in a clinical or community setting. Knowledge of behavioral assessment tools and intervention strategies. Knowledge of Pennsylvania ODP requirements and Chapter 6400 Regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in behavioral support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Familiarity with data collection software and electronic health records. Advanced coursework or training in applied behavior analysis (ABA) or related therapeutic approaches.
Responsibilities:
