Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Position Overview The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works directly with students in educational settings to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, support classroom participation, and encourage positive behavioral development. This role involves data collection, collaboration with educational staff, and consistent implementation of behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and ABA programs as directed by a BCBA. Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support in classroom environments. Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress and behavior. Assist students with social, behavioral, communication, and academic skill development. Support de-escalation and behavior management strategies when needed. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers. Maintain professional communication with staff and supervisors. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Complete required documentation accurately and on time. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current RBT certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification prior to employment. Completion of RBT training and competency requirements. Knowledge of ABA principles and behavior management techniques. Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs preferred. Ability to follow structured programs and intervention plans with consistency. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively in a classroom or educational setting. Supervision Works under the supervision of a BCBA or designated clinical supervisor. No direct supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Skills Classroom support experience. Data collection and documentation skills. Crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques.
