Engage Kidz LLC is looking for an experienced, compassionate BCBA or Licensed Behavioral Specialist to join our team as a part-time independent contractor supporting an after-school program in the City of Pittsburgh.
Schedule:
Approximately 8-12 hours per week, with services provided between 4:00-8:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Scheduling within those hours can be discussed based on program needs and availability.
What You'll Do:
This position will provide behavioral consultation and support to children, families, and after-school program professionals.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing behavioral interventions and strategies for children experiencing challenging behaviors Helping staff recognize and appropriately respond to trauma-related behaviors and emotional needs Observing children and identifying behavioral, environmental, and social-emotional needs Developing practical, positive behavioral strategies that can be implemented within the after-school environment Coaching and modeling strategies for teachers, staff, and other professionals Supporting de-escalation, emotional regulation, coping skills, and positive peer interactions Collaborating with families and providing behavioral recommendations that can be used at home Helping create consistency between the child's after-school program, family, and other supports Participating in consultation and problem-solving with the Engage Kidz team and program staff
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Is a BCBA and/or Licensed Behavioral Specialist Has experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, developmental, social-emotional, and/or trauma-related needs Has experience with positive behavioral supports, behavioral intervention, trauma-informed practices, and de-escalation Is comfortable coaching and collaborating with professionals and families Can work independently while also being part of a collaborative team Brings a compassionate, practical, and strengths-based approach to behavioral support At Engage Kidz LLC, we believe behavior is communication. Our goal is not simply to manage challenging behavior, but to understand what a child is communicating and give children, families, and professionals the tools they need to be successful. Pay:
From $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 12.0 per week
