Pittsburgh Behavioral Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization aimed at providing research validated strategies and methods to increase the quality of life of individuals and families through a variety of services. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about working with children and willing to learn and grow with the agency while providing high quality services for our families! The Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for implementing behavior-analytic programing services for clients with autism spectrum disorder, learning and behavior disorders, and other developmental disorders. The BT provides direct instructional and behavioral programming under the ongoing supervision of a BCBA. This position is a unique opportunity to provide services in a community based early intervention public school classroom, private academic classroom, and clinical setting. The BT supports the treatment team with assessment, daily data collection, skill tracking, and graphing and family communication. The BT primary roles include but are not limited to: providing direct services to children, collaborating and supporting staff, family members, and clinical team members on strategies, and completing daily clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required:

Valid driver's license and auto insurance Required clearances: State police, FBI per state regulations, child protection, mandated reporter certificate

Preferred:

higher education or experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services.

Preferred:

Has attained the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential, BCAT credential, BCaBA credential provided by the BACB, or completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task list.

Physical Demands. Requires a moderate to high level of physical activity including; sitting, standing, running, walking, lifting and carrying as required.
