In-Person/Hybrid At Colorful Minds ABA , located in Chicago, IL, we specialize in play-based, personalized ABA therapy to empower children with autism and their families across the Chicagoland area. We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing clinical team. Whether you are an experienced BCBA or newly certified, you will join a supportive environment focused on ethical care, collaboration, professional growth, and meaningful outcomes for children and families. Newly certified BCBAs are encouraged to apply. We understand that transitioning into your first BCBA role comes with a learning curve, and we provide clinical mentorship, leadership support, access to assessment and training resources, and opportunities to continue developing your skills and confidence as a clinician. The BCBA will work primarily from our Chicago clinic, with hybrid flexibility based on client, clinical, and operational needs. Independent Contractor (1099) opportunities are also available for BCBAs seeking a smaller caseload and flexible hourly work. Contractor positions are separate from the full-time salaried position and do not include employee benefits. Caseload & Scheduling Full-time BCBAs typically maintain a caseload of approximately 6-10 clients , depending on client needs, authorized service hours, clinical complexity, and other responsibilities. We offer flexible scheduling to support work-life balance while ensuring client, supervision, caregiver training, and clinical needs are met. What You'll Do Develop individualized ABA treatment plans based on assessment data, direct observation, and family input Manage an assigned clinical caseload and ensure high-quality service delivery Provide clinical supervision and ongoing support to behavior technicians Conduct skill and behavioral assessments, including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, functional assessments, and other appropriate assessment tools Monitor client progress, analyze data, and modify treatment programs as clinically appropriate Train, mentor, and provide feedback to RBTs and Student Analysts Conduct parent and caregiver training and provide regular updates regarding client progress Collaborate with families and other stakeholders to promote generalization and long-term success Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and staff development activities Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with payer, regulatory, and professional requirements Support treatment fidelity and ensure clinical recommendations are implemented consistently across the treatment team What You Bring Current BCBA certification in good standing Active Illinois Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license required Active Illinois Medicaid IMPACT enrollment or willingness to complete enrollment prior to start Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field Strong clinical judgment and commitment to ethical practice Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to provide constructive feedback and clinical guidance to team members Passion for helping children with autism and supporting their families Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a clinical team Experience supervising RBTs and/or Student Analysts preferred Physical & Work Requirements Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and move freely for extended periods throughout therapy and supervision Must have adequate visual and hearing acuity to observe and assess client behavior, track data, and monitor environmental factors Must be able to use a computer/tablet, write legibly, and manipulate therapy tools or data-collection devices May be required to physically assist with implementation of behavior intervention plans, including redirection, prompting, or blocking unsafe behavior, in accordance with training and safety procedures This is primarily a center-based position at our Chicago clinic. Occasional assessments, caregiver training, observations, or services in other approved settings may be required based on client and payer needs.
