Position Summary:

The Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional must have at least two year of experience with children or adolescent mental health consumers. The Qualified Professional is responsible for assisting the Team Lead with coordination of services across all levels of care, participating in the treatment team processes, and assisting the Team Lead with clinical documentation and psychoeducation and skill development. This QP will cover Williamston, NC and surrounding areas. Services are primarily provided in the home, school, and community and are designed to help stabilize the child, strengthen family functioning, reduce crisis situations, and prevent unnecessary out-of-home placement.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide face-to-face, intensive behavioral health interventions to children, adolescents, and their families in home and community settings. Implement interventions identified in the client's Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and work collaboratively with the IIH Team Lead and other team members. Assist children and families with developing coping skills, emotional-regulation skills, communication skills, problem-solving strategies, and positive behavioral supports. Provide parenting support, education, skill-building, and coaching to help caregivers respond effectively to the child's behavioral and emotional needs. Assist families with identifying triggers, patterns, strengths, barriers, and strategies to reduce behavioral health crises. Support clients and families with implementing crisis and safety plans. Participate in crisis prevention, intervention, stabilization, and follow-up activities according to agency and program requirements. Monitor changes in the client's behavioral health symptoms, functioning, safety, and treatment needs and promptly communicate significant concerns to the IIH Team Lead. Assist clients and families with accessing community resources and natural supports. Coordinate care with schools, therapists, psychiatrists, primary care providers, hospitals, DSS, juvenile justice/probation, and other treatment or community partners as appropriate. Participate in Child and Family Team meetings, treatment planning, team meetings, case consultations, and required supervision. Assist with development, implementation, review, and updating of treatment goals and interventions within the scope of the QP role. Provide services in accordance with the client's individualized needs and established service schedule. Maintain regular communication with the IIH Team Lead regarding client progress, barriers, crises, missed contacts, and significant changes. Complete progress notes and other required clinical documentation accurately and within established agency and payer timeframes. Ensure documentation clearly reflects the intervention provided, the client's and family's response, progress toward treatment goals, and planned follow-up. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, agency policies, and professional standards. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and families. Participate in required agency, program-specific, clinical, safety, and competency-based training. Maintain all qualifications, certifications, and training requirements necessary for the IIH QP position. Maintain reliable transportation and travel throughout the assigned service area to provide services. Maintain flexibility in scheduling, as IIH services may require afternoon, evening, weekend, and crisis-related availability based on the needs of children and families. Perform other duties consistent with the IIH Qualified Professional role as assigned by the IIH Team Lead or Program Manager. Ideal Candidate We are seeking a QP who is dependable, organized, compassionate, flexible, and comfortable working independently in community settings while functioning as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral needs and be comfortable working closely with parents/caregivers during challenging situations. IIH is a community-based service, candidates should understand that this is not primarily an office-based position. The ability to engage families, manage a flexible schedule, complete timely documentation, respond professionally during crises, and collaborate closely with the treatment team is essential.
