Job Description
Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) seeking a rewarding role in a school setting. The position involves working one-on-one with a preschool student who has autism and specific communication needs. The student presents with a short attention span and high energy, requiring patience, empathy, and effective behavior support strategies. The role is based in a District Integrated Preschool classroom environment, where you will collaborate closely with a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals. Together, the team provides a supportive and engaging learning space for eight students, fostering growth and development tailored to individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans with fidelity Supporting communication development and social skills Managing challenging behaviors with compassion and consistency Collaborating with the special education teacher and paraprofessionals to create a positive classroom environment Monitoring progress and documenting behaviors accurately Preferred schedule is full-time, from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM, encouraging a consistent routine and maximum support for the student. Part-time options are also available from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for those seeking a shorter commitment. This contract role provides the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting early childhood development in a structured academic setting. Compensation for this position ranges from $18.56 to $38.56. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
