RBT:
Registered Behavior Technician Responsibilities and Duties Provide in-home and community behavior analysis services Implement behavior support plans Assist with functional behavioral assessments Qualifications and Skills High School Diploma (Some college preferred) Experience working with children with special needs Must pass a background check Must pass the RBT examination within 180 days of 40 hour training and competency assessment. Must attend 40 hours of training by the BCBA, before working work clients. Must pass a competency assessment that includes: Implementing continuous measurements (frequency, duration) Implement discontinuous measurement procedures (partial and whole interval) Implement permanent product recording procedures Enter data and update graphs Conduct preference assessments Assist with functional assessment procedures Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g. conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules) Implement discrete-trial teaching procedures Implement naturalistic teaching procedures (incidental teaching) Implement task analyzed chaining procedures Implement discrimination training Implement stimulus control transfer procedures Implement stimulus fading procedures Implement prompt and prompt fading procedures Implement interventions based on modification of antecedents such as motivating/establishing operations and discriminative stimuli Implement differential reinforcement procedures (DRO/DRA, etc). Implement extinction procedures. Implement crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol. Generate objective session notes by describing what occurred during sessions.
