Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in implementing individualized treatment plans for clients, primarily focusing on children and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and support while fostering positive behavioral changes through evidence-based practices. Duties Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to support learners in achieving their goals. Assist learners with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills. Collect and record data on learner progress, ensuring accurate documentation of behavioral interventions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts and educators, to develop and adjust care plans. Provide direct support to learners during therapy sessions, promoting engagement through teaching techniques. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient care and medical documentation. Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively. Support learners in navigating social situations, enhancing their communication skills and interactions with peers. Skills Proficient in behavioral therapy techniques, particularly applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with learners, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of special education principles and patient care practices. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and documentation standards. Excellent data collection skills for tracking client progress and outcomes. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors in various settings. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and effective communication with clients and families.
