The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities. Working under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans, skill acquisition programs, and collects real-time behavioral data to support client growth and developmental milestones in Brownsville, TX.Key Responsibilities Direct Service Delivery:
Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in clinic, home, school, or community settings following prescribed treatment plans.Behavior Plan Implementation:
behavior reduction strategies and replacement skill protocols designed by the supervising BCBA.Data Collection & Reporting:
Maintain accurate, timely objective data on targeted behaviors and skill acquisition during every session using electronic tracking software.Skill Acquisition Support:
Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, and academic skills.Collaboration & Progress Monitoring:
Participate in regularly scheduled BCBA supervision meetings, client overlap sessions, and interdisciplinary team discussions.Caregiver & Staff Coordination:
Assist in guiding family members on behavior strategies for home reinforcement and coordinate with educational staff as needed.Compliance & Safety:
Maintain client safety, adhere to BACB ethical guidelines, and maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality standards.Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associates or Bachelors degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).Certification:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or completion of 40-hour RBT training with requirement to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.Experience:
Experience working with children, individuals with special needs, or within ABA therapy environments preferred.Skills:
Strong communication, interpersonal abilities, and adaptability in fast-paced therapeutic settings. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a strong plus in the local market.Physical & Background:
Ability to actively play, squat, sit on the floor, lift up to 35-50 lbs; clean background check, CPR/First Aid certification, and reliable transportation.Benefits
