Registered Behavior Technician

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their growth and development. Your expertise in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis will be essential in providing high-quality care and support to our clients. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional. Collect and document data on client progress and behavior changes accurately. Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including home, school, and community environments. Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and positive behavior. Assist in patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations as needed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of client information. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for clients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and patient care. Qualifications Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral therapy methodologies. Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress effectively. Understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
