Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract A unique contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to provide impactful 1:1 support for an elementary student during the 2026-2027 school year near College Station, TX. In this school-based setting, you'll play a vital role in helping a young learner develop social, academic, and behavioral skills each day. This full-time position invites candidates with a true passion for fostering positive change and building essential student abilities.
What You'll Do:
Deliver consistent, individualized support to an elementary-aged student throughout the school day Implement tailored behavior plans and teaching strategies rooted in ABA principles Encourage positive behaviors, classroom participation, and skill development Provide assistance with classroom transitions, routines, and daily activities Recognize and proactively respond to behavioral triggers to maintain safety Collect and document data related to student behavior and progress Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other team members Contribute to a structured, supportive learning environment
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active RBT certification (BACB) highly preferred or required Prior experience with ABA therapy or behavioral intervention for children Experience in a school-based environment is advantageous Crisis prevention/de-escalation training (CPI, Safety-Care, etc.) strongly preferred Solid understanding of positive reinforcement and behavior support strategies Reliable, calm, and able to excel in a one-on-one setting with challenging behaviors Excellent communication and collaboration skills Enjoy a competitive pay rate (between $20-$26 per hour, depending on experience), weekly direct deposit, a range of medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) with employer match, and dedicated support from an experienced education staffing team.
