The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, invites applications for ten full-time, tenure-track or tenure review upon hire, at all levels (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor) with a nine-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon the need and availability of funds, beginning fall of 2027. Strong candidates in core, multi-disciplinary, or emerging areas of computing and AI are encouraged to apply. Particular areas of interest are (but not limited to) cybersecurity/privacy, database systems, formal methods, health computing, quantum computing, and responsible/human-centered AI. The department may hire multiple faculty in one or more of these areas to continue growing strong research clusters. The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; develop and maintain an independent, externally funded research program with strong visibility through high-impact publications; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession. Together, these systems provide exceptional resources for cutting-edge AI and computing research.
