EMPLOYMENT BEGINS

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To work with both students experiencing behavioral challenges as well as model appropriate behavior intervention techniques to staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree Valid Texas Teacher Certification
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Possess an understanding of various disabilities and special education law as well as have a strong background in behavior management techniques Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certified Trained in Texas Behavior Support Initiative
EXPERIENCE
Have demonstrated successful work experience with students exhibiting behavioral needs Have a strong background in behavior management techniques and effective teaching strategies Have experience creating and implementing behavioral intervention plans Possess the necessary skills to assist staff members in the remediation of various disruptive behaviors Possess strong analytical and organizational skills Demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Working with students who are experiencing behavioral difficulties Working with teachers that are struggling in the area of classroom management Perform other duties as assigned
