Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students with behavioral needs in an educational setting near Frisco, TX. As a Behavior Intervention Specialist on a contract basis, you'll collaborate with school teams to promote positive student outcomes through targeted behavior support and interventions. In this full-time role (37.5 hours/week), your day-to-day will emphasize individualized strategies, teamwork, and crisis intervention, all while drawing on your expertise in special education, behavioral analysis, or counseling.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Valid Texas teaching certification with SPED endorsements Hands-on experience in special education, social work, counseling, or a related field Background as a school counselor, LPC, BCBA, or in psychology/social work is highly valued Skilled in developing and supporting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Comfort with conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) Effective participant in ARD, IEP, RtI, and 504 meetings Flexible, collaborative, and ready to support crisis intervention as needed
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and refine BIPs tailored to student needs Conduct FBAs with a focus on actionable solutions Collaborate with instructional staff and families to reinforce best practices Support classroom staff in implementing interventions Respond to urgent behavioral concerns and provide crisis intervention when necessary Engage actively in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for students' needs
