Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a dynamic school setting near Grand Prairie, TX. This contract role is ideal for compassionate professionals passionate about promoting positive behavioral change and enhancing student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in educational or behavioral health settings Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapy teams, and families Ability to maintain detailed and confidential documentation of student progress Adaptable and patient, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct behavioral interventions and one-on-one support to students as outlined in individualized education or behavior intervention plans Collect and record data on student progress and behaviors with accuracy and attention to detail Implement programs designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring fidelity to treatment protocols Collaborate closely with school staff to adapt interventions and strategies to student needs Engage with parents and caregivers regarding progress and effective strategies to reinforce behavioral goals at home Monitor student engagement and safety at all times, including in classroom and community-based instruction Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
