Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Assistant Plant Manager to support the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This role involves actively participating on the production floor, leading teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, be detail-oriented in record keeping and inventory control, and have a passion for optimizing manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise production teams to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations Be actively engaged on the production floor, providing hands-on support and guidance to team members Monitor and improve operational efficiency through process adjustments and workflow optimization Oversee quality management processes to maintain product standards and reduce defects Manage record keeping related to production metrics, maintenance logs, and quality reports Control inventory levels, ensuring proper stock management and minimizing waste Make mechanical adjustments to machinery as needed to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations Train staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages continuous improvement Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing or production environments with a focus on team leadership Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform machine adjustments Hands-on approach with a passion for working directly on the production floor Excellent record keeping skills and attention to detail in documentation Knowledge of inventory control practices within a manufacturing setting Ability to analyze processes for efficiency improvements and implement effective solutions Good communication skills to lead teams effectively and collaborate across departments Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly Prior experience in quality management is preferred but not mandatory This position offers an opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence.
