Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Part-TimeJob Summary Compassionate Connections is seeking a compassionate, dependable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team. Our RBTs provide individualized ABA services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Services are primarily provided in clients' natural environments, including daycares, homes, schools, and community settings. We are looking for an RBT who enjoys working directly with children, values individualized care, and is comfortable working independently while receiving ongoing BCBA support and supervision. This is a part-time position with approximately 15-25 hours per week based on current client availability and caseload needs. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a BCBA. Provide 1:1 ABA services across daycare, home, school, and community settings. Collect accurate data on skill acquisition, behavior, and client progress. Support development of communication, social, play, adaptive, safety, and daily living skills. Implement reinforcement, prompting, naturalistic teaching, and other behavior-analytic strategies as outlined by the supervising BCBA. Support clients who engage in challenging behavior while following their individualized plans with fidelity. Complete session documentation accurately and within required timelines. Communicate client updates, clinical concerns, and scheduling changes appropriately and promptly. Collaborate professionally with BCBAs, caregivers, educators, and other members of the client's treatment team. Maintain client dignity, safety, assent, and professional boundaries throughout services. Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and clinical feedback. Qualifications Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing. Bachelors degree preferred. 2 or more years of experience working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities preferred. Comfortable supporting children who may engage in challenging behavior. Ability to follow treatment plans and clinical protocols with fidelity. Strong data collection and documentation skills. Dependable and professional communication. Ability to receive and implement clinical feedback. Ability to work independently in natural-environment settings. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned client locations. Commitment to maintaining professional and ethical boundaries with clients, families, and other members of the treatment team. Schedule & Hours This is a part-time position averaging approximately 15-25 hours per week based on current caseload needs and client availability. Most services are provided during weekday daytime hours. Because ABA schedules are influenced by client attendance, insurance authorization, family availability, school/daycare schedules, and clinical needs, weekly hours may vary and are not guaranteed. We work to maintain consistent client assignments and schedules whenever possible. This position is best suited for an RBT who is intentionally seeking part-time work and whose availability aligns with our current client needs. Our Approach At Compassionate Connections, we believe effective ABA should also be compassionate ABA. Our approach prioritizes client dignity, assent, meaningful skill development, collaboration, and individualized treatment. We value meeting clients where they are, supporting regulation and communication, and teaching skills that improve participation in everyday life. We also believe strong RBTs deserve strong clinical support. Team members receive ongoing BCBA supervision, opportunities for feedback and collaboration, and guidance when navigating challenging clinical situations. If you are looking for meaningful part-time RBT work, enjoy providing services in natural environments, and value compassionate, individualized care, we would love to hear from you.
