Job Description
Header Overview Join our dynamic team as an In-Home Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. This rewarding role involves delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy directly in clients' homes, supporting their growth and independence. As an RBT, you will work closely with families, behavior analysts, and other professionals to implement personalized care plans that promote positive behavior change. This position offers a vibrant, supportive environment where your skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA), teaching, and patient care will help children reach their full potential while fostering strong client relationships. Responsibilities Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols tailored to each child's needs, focusing on skill development and behavior management. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and confidence. Collect and record accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients in educational settings by applying special education strategies and reinforcing learning objectives. Communicate regularly with clients' families to provide updates on progress, clarify care plans, and offer guidance on behavior management techniques. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records and client information. Collaborate with the supervising behavior analyst to develop and update care plans based on behavioral data collection and client needs. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and implementing ABA therapy protocols. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation, and home-based behavioral intervention practices. Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting clients through direct behavioral therapy sessions. Ability to collect detailed behavioral data accurately while maintaining a professional and ethical approach aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, family support, and team collaboration. A valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date; ongoing professional development encouraged.
