Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, through evidence-based behavioral therapy. In this energetic position, you will implement personalized treatment plans, assist clients with daily living skills, and contribute to meaningful progress in their development. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and confidence Use behavioral management techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in a safe manner Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive functioning for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities Maintain confidentiality of medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations during documentation and data collection Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each client's needs Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and special education principles Ability to assist clients with ADLs while demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism Strong data collection skills to track progress accurately for ongoing assessment and treatment adjustments Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and maintaining detailed medical records Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members Must be committed to confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines governing patient information Must have a certification in behavior analysis This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a difference through teaching, patient care, and behavioral health support.
