Job Description

Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity near Plano, TX, where your expertise in behavior analysis, counseling, or social work will directly support student success. As a Behavior Intervention Specialist, you'll collaborate with a dedicated school team to foster a positive and productive learning environment. You'll have the opportunity to influence change at the student, classroom, and program level, working closely with educators and families.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred Active Texas teaching certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsements Experience in SPED, social work, school counseling, or related fields Background as a school counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), BCBA, psychologist, or social worker highly valued Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus
Responsibilities:
Develop and support Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviors Collaborate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD), Individualized Education Program (IEP), Response to Intervention (RtI), and Section 504 meetings Provide classroom observation, coaching, and direct intervention support, including crisis management as needed Work full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, integrating seamlessly with school teams to ensure continuity of care Starting compensation for this engaging role begins at $30+ per hour, with potential for higher rates based on your experience.
