This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities through behavioral therapy and personalized care. As an RBT, you will play a vital part in fostering positive growth, teaching essential skills, and assisting with daily living activities in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities Implement behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors and skill development. Assist children and individuals with daily activities of living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, dressing, and mobility support. Collect and analyze data related to behavior management plans, ensuring accurate documentation for progress tracking. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs. Support teaching efforts by creating engaging learning activities that foster communication, social skills, and independence. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding medical records, documentation, and personal information. Use medical terminology accurately when recording observations or communicating with healthcare professionals. Provide patient care with patience, empathy, and professionalism while fostering a positive environment for growth. Participate in ongoing training related to special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and medical documentation standards. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and organizational policies during interactions with clients. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health principles, especially in the context of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is advantageous. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies is desirable. Experience assisting with medical documentation, care plans, and understanding of medical terminology will be beneficial. Strong data collection skills are essential for tracking progress and informing treatment adjustments. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining patience and compassion.
