This role focuses on delivering individualized, one-on-one therapy in the client's home and community settings, helping clients develop essential skills such as communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and behavior regulation. Behavior Technicians work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and play a critical role in supporting each client's progress by implementing treatment plans, collecting data, and building positive relationships with families. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference, interested in careers in psychology, education, or healthcare, and who enjoy working in dynamic, hands-on environments. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks. Support teaching strategies that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records and client information. Collaborate with supervisors, families, and team members to ensure consistency in care plans and behavioral management strategies. Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in behavioral therapy, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health concepts, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and special education methodologies is advantageous. Experience in data collection, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records is desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient care and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to effectively teach, support, and collaborate with clients, families, and team members. Relevant certifications or training in behavior management or related fields are a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
