About the Role We are hiring a Behavior Technician / Program Instructor — RBT Preferred for our Leesburg program. This role is a strong fit for someone with experience in ABA, behavior support, autism services, special education, direct support, day support, or disability services. You will support teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities during structured activities, transitions, meals, daily routines, and community-based programming. You will help participants build meaningful skills while supporting safety, dignity, communication, independence, and participation. The role also includes a leadership development track . A strong candidate may grow into additional responsibilities such as supporting daily program flow, assisting with staff coordination, helping with role assignments, monitoring documentation follow-through, and eventually advancing into a Program Lead or Program Manager role. What You'll Do Support participants during structured activities, transitions, daily routines, and community-based activities. Help lead activities focused on life skills, communication, independence, social engagement, recreation, emotional regulation, and community participation. Use respectful, person-centered support strategies. Follow individualized support plans, behavior support strategies, schedules, and safety procedures under the supervision of a
BCBA, PBS
Facilitator and/or QDDP. Support positive behavior, emotional regulation, and participant engagement. Help keep the program safe, organized, and running smoothly. Prepare materials, set up activities, and support the daily schedule. Complete documentation, attendance tracking, checklists, and daily notes as assigned. Communicate participant needs, staff concerns, and operational issues to leadership. Participate in training, supervision, team meetings, and leadership development. Leadership Track This role is designed for someone who wants to grow. The right person will begin as a hands-on Program Instructor while learning how a high-quality disability services program operates. As skills develop, the employee may be trained to support: Daily program flow Group facilitation Staff coordination Role assignments Activity planning Documentation follow-through Participant support systems Safety and emergency procedures New staff support Program Lead responsibilities Growth is not automatic. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following areas is helpful: Behavior Technician or RBT work ABA or positive behavior support Autism support Special education or classroom support Direct Support Professional / DSP work Adult day support or day program experience Human services, recreation, camps, childcare, or healthcare Supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities Documentation, data collection, progress notes, or behavior tracking Group facilitation, activity leadership, or team leadership RBT certification is preferred but not required. We are open to candidates with strong behavior support skills, reliability, and leadership potential. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to work in person 8:45 AM-3:15 PM. Must be able to pass required background checks. Must complete required onboarding and training. Must maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Must be able to remain calm and professional in a busy program environment.
