$21.00 - $26.00 per hour Job description: Green Mountain Sprouts Early Intervention Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clinic-based setting in beautiful Bennington, Vermont. The Behavior Technician will provide behavior-analytic services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), other developmental disabilities, and/or emotional-behavioral disorders. The ideal candidate will work individually or in small group settings, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst ( BCaBA) who oversees assessment, program development, and ongoing supervision.
Analytic Responsibilities:
Implement behavior-analytic programming as directed by a BCBA or BCaBA including behavior reduction procedures, skill acquisition procedures, and crisis/emergency response procedures. Collect and maintain accurate, timely data throughout the program day. Complete mandatory documentation by the end of the service delivery day. Follow and implement crisis and emergency response procedures as trained. Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. Collaborate professionally with co-workers, caregivers, and external service providers. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Attend supervision meetings, accept feedback, and adjust performance as needed. Refrain from any activities or relationships that may create a conflict of interest.
Professional Duties & Expectations:
Arrive punctually for all scheduled shifts and adhere to company policies regarding absences and cancellations. Obtain and maintain all required training (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, RBT® Certification if applicable). Participate in all required in-service trainings provided by the clinic. Follow all company policies and procedures, including dress code, time-off requests, and professional conduct. Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment in all situations. Support the daily operations of the clinic, including cleaning, material preparation, and curriculum development. Perform other duties as assigned by the Sprouts Director or BCBA. Qualifications Minimum of a High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. Experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities. Clean driving record and a valid state-issued driver's license. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
