Bellevue Position Summary The Behavior Specialist works collaboratively with children, teachers, families, and administration to support positive behaviors and social-emotional development in the classroom. This role includes observing children's behavior, developing and implementing behavior support strategies, providing guidance to teaching staff, and maintaining open communication with families regarding children's progress and needs. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about supporting young children, building positive relationships, and helping create successful learning experiences for all students. Lil' People's World promotes from within and encourages professional growth throughout the company. Responsibilities Observe and assess children's social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement behavior support strategies and intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive and supportive classroom environments. Provide coaching and guidance to classroom staff regarding behavior management techniques. Support children in developing self-regulation, communication, and social skills. Maintain documentation and records related to behavioral support services. Communicate regularly with families regarding children's progress and strategies for success. Participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and ongoing professional development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with young children in educational, behavioral, or therapeutic settings. Knowledge of child development and positive behavior support practices. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
