Job Description
Who We Are:
Therapz is a new local micro-agency founded by a caregiver and a clinician. We are are partnering to offer in-clinic and community based ABA services. Our goal being to serve clients and families with neuro-affirming, client specific intervention that is meaningful and relevant in the individual's preferences and autonomy across settings.Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate part-time Behavior Technicians to join our team. The successful candidate(s) will provide individualized intervention to youth with developmental disabilities, utilizing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) technologies to promote skill development and autonomy overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ideal candidate is available in the evenings Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of others while making a meaningful difference and being part of an agency from the ground up.Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized care plans to ensure the highest level of client care and support.
- Utilize behavioral management techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive interactions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and administer comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide neuro-affirming client support in various settings, including the home, community, and clinical environments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collect and analyze data to inform treatment decisions and track progress towards goals.
- Continually assess client engagement and priorities, adjusting expectations as appropriate with the supervision of the BCBA.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality and client privacy.
Required Skills:
- Flexibility
- Ability to implement individualized treatment plans & programming.
- Proficiency with accurate data collection, program fidelity and HIPAA compliance.
- Familiarity with medical records and the importance of factual and detailed documentation.
- Reliable and punctual for sessions and meetings with clients, stakeholders, and supervisors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management strategies.
- Prior ABA Experience
- Current CBT license through the WA State Dept. of Health
- Familiarity with digital data collection software
