Ideal opportunity for college students and recent graduates interested in social work or related fields such as psychology, human services, human development, speech and language disorders, special education, etc.
Responsibilities:
Work one on one at our center or in the clients' (2-21 years) home to provide effective therapy to teach new skills and decrease problematic behavior as directed by behavioral therapist and licensed supervisor Flexible part-time hours with the opportunities to increase hours Receive initial and ongoing paid training in the application of applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapeutic techniques Provide energetic, enthusiastic, and playful interactions with the clients while receiving ongoing support and supervision Maintain respectful demeanor, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality at all times Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and proof of insurance Must pass a caregiver background check Must be able to sit on floor, move around, lift and/or maneuver up to 50lb child Must be able to swiftly and effectively respond to aggressive behaviors utilizing learned behavior management techniques Prior experience working with children on the autism spectrum is highly preferred but not required as we will train the right candidate Interested candidates should email for more information.
