Position Summary The role of the Dialysis Biomed Technician reports to the Dialysis Biomedical Supervisor. This position is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance and repair of all patient care equipment and overseeing general maintenance at Dialysis Centers of Northwest Arkansas (DCNA) facilities. This position will assist with purchasing, inventory control, and delivery of equipment, supplies, and medications to all locations. Essential Position Responsibilities Maintain current knowledge of dialysis equipment Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule for dialysis equipment in partnership with biomed supervisor Ensure preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner, maintain equipment repair records, and escalate issues to supervisor, as needed Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and utilizing inventory management Monitor and maintain DCNA locations to ensure safe environment as established by local, state, and federal regulations and requirements Ensure DCNA locations are stocked with adequate supply; provide emergency delivery, as needed Other responsibilities as appropriate with current job function
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED, required.
Licensure and Certifications:
Completion of a manufacturer training course for dialysis machines required within 9 months.
Experience:
Previous experience in equipment repair, inventory control, supply delivery, and purchasing, required.
Work Environment :
This position will spend 90% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 10% of time sitting and/or driving. This position will spend 10% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position may be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids.
