UCHealth is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician Associate to support our Technical & Maintenance team within our Healthcare & Medical system. In this entry-level role, you will inspect, test, and perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on biomedical equipment under the guidance of senior technicians. You will document service activities, assist with equipment installations, verify safety and performance, and respond to service requests. Responsibilities Perform routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment under supervision Assist with basic troubleshooting and repair of clinical devices to restore function and safety Support installation, setup, and acceptance testing of new biomedical equipment Document all service activities, test results, and parts used in the CMMSVerify compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards for assigned equipment Respond to service requests from clinical staff and provide timely technical support Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or vendors as appropriate Maintain tools, test equipment, and work areas in safe, orderly condition Participate in ongoing training, in-services, and competency development Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to minimize equipment downtime and support patient care Required Skills Biomedical equipment troubleshooting Preventive maintenance of medical devices Electrical and electronics fundamentals Reading technical manuals and schematics Use of electronic test equipment (multimeters, analyzers) Safety and regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NFPA 99) Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Basic networking for connected medical devices Technical documentation and reporting Customer service in clinical settings
