A Biomedical Equipment Technician maintains medical and laboratory equipment and instruments, provides repairs and inspections, and tests and calibrate equipment.
Ethos Technical Specialist are responsible for the delivery, removal, service and maintenance of durable medical equipment in patient homes and healthcare facilities. Behind the scenes our Specialist work to ensure safe quality products. On the front line our technicians educate patients and caregivers on proper product use in the home
Job Responsibilities:
Schedules and completes deliveries and removals of medical equipment in patient homes and healthcare facilities. Service areas may extend 250+ miles. Keeps accurate records of delivery, pick-up, maintenance, and repair activities. Demonstrates and explains general operation and proper use of medical equipment to patient/customer. Periodically works on-call rotation. Responsible for all general warehouse and fleet vehicle upkeep.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid license with minimum 3 years driving experience. Must be insurable at standard automobile rates at all times. Troubleshooting Working independently as well as in teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical or Trade School training or certification. Customer support experience. Work experience in the medical device industry or healthcare industry. Proficient with standard technology devices and Apps (mobile phones, tablets, etc.)
Physical and Safety Requirements:
Ability to sit, kneel, bend, or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to safety lift, move or transport, 50-75 lbs. with and without physical aids. Must wear provided personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, gloves, and protective clothing.
