Job Description

Pacific Research Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to support the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) Biological Defense Research Directorate at Fort Detrick, MD. This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start of September 2026. You will be the dedicated contractor BMET supporting a military medical research laboratory — maintaining research and medical equipment, running the scheduled maintenance program, and managing equipment inventory and accountability in DMLSS.
Single-incumbent role with high visibility:
your work closes a documented maintenance backlog and keeps a Navy research mission running.
Responsibilities:
Level II scheduled maintenance (inspection, PM, calibration, scheduled parts replacement) on medical and research equipment, documented in DMLSS Electrical safety inspections; acceptance inspection of newly acquired equipment Equipment inventory and accountability per NAVMED P-5132 and BUMED logistics guidance; annual inventory and monthly GE-R reporting Warranty and service-contract tracking; operator training;

disposition coordination
Requirements:
Military BMET training certificate, medical equipment manufacturer training certificate, OR
AAMI CBET
certification Experience with the military medical research enterprise (MTFs, DoD research labs, or military medical logistics) Working knowledge of DMLSS or equivalent medical logistics system U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET eligibility (Tier 3) — active clearance NOT required to apply Ability to pass laboratory occupational health screenings; on-site Mon-Fri, 8 hrs/day We offer: $80,000-$90,000 DOE, federal holidays off, stable weekday schedule, multi-year engagement (base + option years), government-furnished CAC/workspace/tools, and direct access to leadership with hands-on military BMET and
